Well I had my colonoscopy today and found well....nothing. So we really are not sure what is causing the pain in my lower abdomen. I have some medicine to stay on for a while and then will be following up. I'm a little down. I am glad that nothing was found but also a little frustrated that I still don't know why I am still experiencing lower abdominal pain.

Eating
They say a person can go 2 weeks without starving...not that I am trying to hit that 2 weeks but damn this is what it feels like to have absolutely no desire to eat. The when I do eat my stomach pretty much forces it right back out. Being it the weekend, there was no way to get a hold of my dr so I just decided it was something I was not going to worry about until monday, unless things get considerably worse by then. I would like to have an appetite back. Right now is just a waiting game as more and new issues crop up. the stress is really eating at me. Still moving along though. Thanks everyone for checking in on me.

Health
Well some people know what is going on, or at least they know as much as I know. About 2 weeks ago I started to experience some pretty severe stomach pains and started bleeding out from the rear (sorry if tmi for some) I decided after a couple of days I really needed to go to the ER and have it checked out. Not sure it is was postpartum related or not. A few terms were tossed around the first ER visit and we had discussed diverticulitis. I had a CT scan done but as I am realizing most ER drs are not great at truly discussing results with you. Apparently diverticulitis was ruled out but colitis was a possible issue. After being put on an antibiotic to try to help and pain meds, 10 days later I was feeling not much better. Still needing the pain meds on a daily basis. It hurts to hold and try to feed connor and that much is breaking my heart. I went back to the ER on Monday. I was given more pain medicine, this time fentanyl, which is much stronger and actually was able to cut through the pain for once. But still I had no answers. I was referred to a GI dr and have a colonoscopy scheduled now. My Dr is currently leaning towards either Crohns Disease or Ulcerative Colitis. Both I am looking at long term, life long treatment. Right now we are just waiting for the colonoscopy and then will move forward after that to see the next steps are.
